Literacy Chippewa Valley (LCV) has recently received a $2,500.00 grant from the Xcel Energy Foundation. This grant will be used to support Career Pathways, LCV’s job skills program, to help students increase their literacy skills in order to obtain, retain, or improve employment.
“We rely on and are thankful for support from important community and corporate partners such as Xcel Energy,” said Elizabeth Hart, the executive director of Literacy Chippewa Valley. “This generous donation will help us fund programs such as ServSafe, forklift training, financial literacy, and customer service.”
Xcel Energy Foundation’s grant is part of the company’s corporate giving Economic Sustainability focus area, which supports nonprofit organizations like Literacy Chippewa Valley to promote workforce development and economic-self-sufficiency.
