Have you met Angela Stokes? Angie is the Northwest Regional Consultant for Wisconsin Literacy and has an office at the LCV office in Eau Claire.
As a regional consultant, Angie provides support, resources, training and advocacy to adult literacy programs located throughout northwestern Wisconsin. This includes providing information and guidance as to how volunteer tutors and instructional staff can help transition learners to post-secondary education and employment. In the Chippewa Valley specifically, she facilitates collaboration between Literacy Chippewa Valley, the Chippewa Valley Technical College and Workforce Resources to support the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and ultimately help increase literacy levels in our local community to support individual goals and support economic development.
Angela previously was employed as an Educational Consultant, Career and Technical Education Coordinator, Post-Secondary Access Coach, Blugold Beginnings Learning Community Coordinator, Literacy Coach, Special Education Teacher, and Associate Lecturer at UWEC.
Her education includes a BA in Biology from University of Iowa, BS in Science Education from the University of Iowa, MST in Reading, and MSE in Special Education.
