The most recent addition to the Literacy Chippewa Valley staff is Susan Santee-Buenger. Susan is a 1-to-1 Adult Instructor in the Eau Claire office.
As a 1-to-1 Adult Instructor, Susan is responsible for the process of matching student/tutor pairs which includes recruiting, training and supervising volunteer tutors, conducting student intake, planning, implementing and monitoring adult education curriculum for assigned students, and providing ongoing support to student/tutor pairs.
Susan has been a professional educator since 2004 and began her teaching career as an Instructor of Teaching/PreK-8 Art Instructor at Malcolm Price Laboratory School on the University of Northern Iowa. Most recently, she has been an Associate Lecturer in English at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she taught the Blugold Seminar in Critical Reading and Writing along with original visual art courses she developed for the Honors Program.
She has a BA in Art Education with a minor in Anthropology from the University of Northern Iowa and earned her MA in English-Writing from UW-Eau Claire in 2012.
