If you haven’t already marked your calendar, Literacy Chippewa Valley’s 17th Annual ScrabbleBee is only two months away on Thursday, April 19, 2018. We will again be at The Lismore Hotel in downtown Eau Claire. This larger venue provides room for up to 50 teams to participate.
Get your friends, family members, or co-workers together and register now to spend a fun and exciting night playing Scrabble® and helping a good cause. Here’s how it works: “Hare” teams of up to six players work with each other – and against the clock – to build as many high-scoring words on the Scrabble® board as possible. Three games are played throughout the evening, and the team with the highest total score for all three games is the winner. In addition to the fast-paced play, there is also a “Tortoise” division that plays traditional Scrabble®. Other activities include a silent auction, raffles, prizes, and food. Team check-in is at 5:15 p.m., and the competition starts at 6 p.m.
If you’re interested in signing up a team or sponsoring the event, contact Literacy Chippewa Valley at 715-834-0222 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
